Job Title: English Teacher

Job Purpose:

To deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English language and literature lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective English lessons according to curriculum standards.

  • Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and literature analysis.

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet individual student needs and encourage active learning.

  • Assign and grade homework, tests, and assignments.

  • Monitor and assess student progress; provide regular feedback to students and parents.

  • Maintain an orderly and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.

  • Organize and participate in school events, activities, and parent-teacher meetings.

  • Stay updated with developments in teaching resources and strategies.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or related field (B.Ed or PGCE preferred).

  •  Valid teaching certification.

  •  Minimum  3 years of relevant teaching experience (can be adjusted).

  •  Experience with international or national curricula (British, IB, or American curriculum) is an advantage.

Salary Range: R65,000 – R75,000 per month (tax-free)
